Biofuels Standards

The 3rd international conference on biofuels standards will focus on facilitating global biofuels trade through standards and measurements. The event is organised by the Directorate General for Energy, European Commission (DG TREN), the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Brazilian Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Normalização e Qualidade Industrial (INMETRO), in cooperation with Green Power Conferences (please note that this is not a TRIPARTITE activity but a common effort amongst our three organisations to promote international collaboration on biofuels).

Session 1: Biofuel Standards for Road Transport
The aim of the session is to have an update on the developments taking place in Brazil, EU and USA, as well as elsewhere on biodiesel and bioethanol and discuss some of the current issues for global trade.
